I Enjoy Life in a BIG Way! by Angelina Puglisi

My name is Angelina and I live in North Carolina. I live with my mom, dad, and sister and I am in the 3rd grade. I was diagnosed with Turner syndrome (TS) when I was 7 because my pediatrician was concerned about my height and lack of growth.

After my diagnosis, some issues I have dealt with seemed to make more sense. As a baby, I had issues with my kidneys, curled nails, and feeding. At this point, TS makes me small in size, but I enjoy life in a big way! I like doing gymnastics and I cartwheel everywhere I go. I also enjoy playing in the snow, riding my bike, snuggling with my cat, listening to music, and playing at our farm with my sister.

At school, I love reading, playing with my friends and everything else (except math). TS is only part of what makes me unique - most people don’t even know about it unless I tell them, and I do like to tell people about TS and my life to raise awareness and support for all TS butterflies.
